CONKLIN ENDURA, MEDIUM SIZE, SAPPHIRE BLUE, LF, GFT, c1925

Description

Here's a lightly used early Sapphire blue CONKLIN ENDURA in medium size from about 1925. This pen is a 4-15/16" long  with nearly flat, but slightly rounded ends.   The three line barrel imprint is prominent on the pen and shown in photos 5, each line with one of the most important 3 keywords,  CONKLIN, TOLEDO, ENDURA. There are four engraved accent groves, 2 on the cap and two on the barrel and all still have the red shading.  Gold filled trim is still excellent, but there is some brassing. On the clip, both top and bottom and the edge tip of the widest points, there is a spot (!) of  brassing, slightly more at the base tips. This cap is marked CONKLIN with a nib patent  date. Marked with the lever patent date on the lever along with Conklin's Crescent logo on the tab. The lever filler will need a new sac before the pen will take up ink. Section and feed are flawless.  Nib is a CONKLIN ENDURA with a crescent shaped breather. It looks like a fine width, straight, good iridium and pretty firm. Beautiful pen.
