This fake dome security camera is the next best thing to something real. An inexpensive deterrent to help prevent theft and vandalism.
If this saves your stuff and prevents a single crime it's definitely worth it and far exceeds the cost of having to deal with an unfortunate situation.
Easily mounts on walls and ceilings and has a red flashing LED indicator if you want to install four "AA" batteries. Good alkaline batteries will last about 3 months.
It has a metal mounting plate and comes with the screws. Without the batteries it's extremely lightweight and can even be installed with double sided tape (not included). Personally in our own home we don't bother with the batteries. We don't think they're needed to make this look any more authentic. It certainly looks pretty real. Most "dome" cameras don't have LED lights flashing anyway.
Our shop has a real 8 channel system and an assortment of fake cameras like these as well. Having been in the electronics business for 30+ years we have experience being ripped off and luckily haven't had an issue for quite some time. Hopefully if any crooks were looking to take advantage of us they will think it's wise to move on.
This is made really well and much nicer than you would expect for such a low price. The pictures are of the actual item and were taken by us so you can see exactly what you're getting.
