    Description

This auction is for 2 uncirculated encased U.S. 1938 and 1939 wheat cents of the "good luck/keep me and you'll never go broke" variety with different reverses.  We will be offering a series of this type of auction, starting with the most recent dates and working our way back through wheat cents and a few other denominations, for a total of approximately 80 individual items.  At a starting price of , this lot of encased cents is a great value for a beginning collector or for a dealer to put into inventory.
After buying coin collections for over 45 years, we have accumulated over 40,000 tokens and medals, which were usually set aside to sell at some time in the future because we were busier with the U.S., world, and ancient coins.  Well, that time has finally come.  We hope to eventually list tokens from as many of the categories in Tokens and Medals by Alpert and Elman as we can.  Because of the large quantity of tokens and the many different categories of these tokens, they will be sold in lots with starting bids of to .  Since we don't have price guides for these tokens and don't have time to price each individual token, we think that some lots may have some super buys in them.  We are selling these tokens as they were packaged by the many different dealers and collectors from whom we bought them, and any holders and prices on the holders are from the previous owners.  Some of these prices may be over 50 years old!
If you are interested in a particular category, such as transportation, woods, aviation, coin clubs, etc., please contact us so that we can let you know when that category is listed.
Because we are older and downsizing, we are not accepting any returns on these bulk lots of tokens.  Will combine shipping.  And if a lot sells for or more, we will pay for shipping; so wait for an invoice so that the shipping charges can be removed.  Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions.  Thanks for looking!
